1. The short version
techjobsremote.org has no accounts and no sign-up. We don’t ask for your name, email or résumé. Your saved jobs and recently-viewed history live only in your own browser’s local storage and are never sent to us. The data we do receive comes from standard analytics and advertising technologies described below.
2. Data stored in your browser
Features like ★ saved jobs and the recently-viewed strip use your browser’s localStorage. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to our servers, and is deleted when you clear your browser data.
3. Analytics
We use web analytics to understand aggregate usage — pages visited, approximate region, device type and referrers. Analytics providers may set cookies or use similar identifiers to distinguish visits. We use this information only to improve the Site (for example, which categories and filters people use most). We do not sell personal information.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
The Site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites; this may include personalized advertising where permitted. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings and learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Third-party vendors may also serve ads via their own cookies; you can opt out of many at aboutads.info/choices.
5. Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Site remains fully usable without them (saved jobs use local storage, not cookies). Where required by your region’s law (GDPR, ePrivacy, CCPA/CPRA), we honor consent choices for non-essential cookies and you may have additional rights — such as access, deletion, or opting out of “sale or sharing” of personal information — which you can exercise via the mechanisms above.
6. Server logs and security
Like nearly all websites, our hosting infrastructure keeps short-lived request logs (IP address, user agent, URL) for security, abuse prevention and debugging. These are retained briefly and not used to profile visitors.
7. Job listings
Job data shown on the Site is business information published by companies on their own careers pages (titles, locations, salary bands). It contains no candidate personal data. Applying always happens on the employer’s site under the employer’s own privacy policy — review it before submitting an application.
8. Children and changes
The Site is not directed at children under 16. We may update this policy as the Site evolves (for example, when adding or changing analytics or advertising providers); the date below reflects the latest revision.
